Fidel Deforte is an innovative technology professional, promoting critical thinking along a Kaizen path. A former ICT Manager and IT Project Manager in both public and private enterprises, he has ammassed a wide range of experiences and competencies, and thrives on challenging initiatives. His achievements include Data Center Consolidation, Virtualization, Cloud Technologies, HyperConverged Infrastructure and promoting technology colaborations.

As ICT Manager, Fidel contributed to the City of Cape Coral, Florida, placing 2nd nationwide, as one of the most technology-advanced cities for its size in the US (population classification range of 125,000 to 249,999) in the 2012 Digital Cities survey. Under Fidel's guidance, the city reduced OPEX and CAPEX expenditure, while leveraging cutting edge enterprise technology solutions for data center consolidations and disaster recovery. The city received 6th place in 2009 and 8th in 2008. This survey examines how effectively City governments are using information technology to create value for local governments and their constituents. Digital Cities Survey

The Center for Digital Government's Digital Cities Survey is conducted annually in the summer: July - August. All United States cities, towns, villages and consolidated city/county governments are invited to participate in this survey.

Prior to the city's employment, Fidel's most notable positions were with the Securities Industry in New York City. In these endeavours, Fidel successfully completed Infrastructure and Network projects with critical deliverables.

In 2012 Fidel shared the CIO Roundtable at the Corus360 CloudUp event in Atlanta and talked of the city's cloud projects. In 2007 Fidel discussed his data center consolidation efforts and Green IT, at the CIO Conference in Orlando. These professional engagements, his memberships and major certifications from the leading technology organisations demonstrate that Fidel's 25 plus years experience measure up to established standards. Additionally, Fidel holds a Bachelors Degree in Science - Network Design and Management from Western Governors University.

Fidel is now focused on extending his skills by providing technology solutions and hosting Specialty Technology Showcase events, designed to bring Vendors, Manufacturers and IT Professionals together for presentations, exhibits and continuing education.
